HEATER CORE REPLACEMENT in this truck is very difficult. The job requires dashboard removal and includes Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL. REPLACING this HEATER CORE requires some skill and patience. You will also have to discharge the air conditioner in order to remove the dashboard so that you can replace the LEAKING HEATER CORE.

Just a quick tip time saver if you disconnect the harness from the fuse box and wiper motor under the cowl push the harness thru the firewall you can take out the whole dashboard out with almost everything intact just unplugging the doors and body plugs

Wowza! That was quite the ordeal. Great job…hopin' mine doesn't leak anytime soon! Just curious, did you replace the blower motor while you were in there? Thanks for sharing, that was very detailed and I'm adding to my library for when the day comes for my '99 Suburban.
