This video tutorial provides instructions on how to replace the side mirror adjustment motor assembly on a 2014 GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado. The mirror adjustment motor has a backplate that the mirror glass is attached to. The backplate was broken free from the side mirror adjustment motor assembly. This mirror repair saved me about $240 over replacing the entire side mirror assembly. A replacement GMC outside mirror assembly for this GMC Sierra costs $300 and the motor only costs around $60 shipped. When the side mirror breaks free from the mirror adjustment motor, it’s possible to repair the mirror by replacing the motor as shown in this video. The side mirror repair process shown in this video should be the same or similar on many other vehicles including, Ford F150, Chevy Tahoe, GMC Acadia, Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, and many others.
