I swear I had to unbolt the trailing arm the last time I did one of these…circa 2010.
Very good video, thanks so much
Len…your videos are always so informative and awesome. I also love the sound effects too “bonk bonk” ….keep up the great work. It’s because of these videos that I’ve become a 1a Auto customer.
Ur the man! U do I boo!!
You make it look easy man. Thank you
Hi I've just change new shock for the rear , and I noticed after install, it's slightly sagging on the left side rear , any idea?
My rubber boot on the top of the shock was stuck and I had to tear it off. I just pieced it back on before putting in the new shock and it looks pretty snug. Am I running any major risks doing this?
Very thorough and made it look easy. Ps. Camera guy needs a raise.
I had my shocks replaced on 2010 Elentra but now there weird noise when I drive from rare passenger side. Do you know what might cause this?
Can I replace these struts without a hoist? I can only get the car about 12 " off the ground?
Where do you buy the rubber boot?
Do you guys carry the bushing the shock connects to ? My bolt that connects the bottom of the shock is seized in the bushing . Having issues finding the part.
I wish I could give your guys 100 thumb up more. You are the only one that have made a lot of video for my car. Thank you so much. I wish the best for your business .
at 7:30 that nut is 14 to 18 ft lb . Two bolts to hold it on top to the car is 36-47 ft lb. bottom bolt is 101 to 116. Guys it doesn't need to get to the top in torque.—– I forgot to give thumb up, ja,ja,ja, ok I'm # 107
i put on gabriel ultra shocks on my 2010, and they are garbage, too soft I think.
Brilliant video, thank you very much for taking the time to make it. It's amazing that there are people like yourselves empowering regular folks like us!
I love this video you are very detailed, the camera quality is great, and now I feel confident on doing this for my 2008 Hyundai Accent GLS Sedan so now a 20 year old can save some money. You just got yourself a new #subscriber!
Another Beautiful Videos from your guys. 5 stars . I would like to see the old Shock be Compressed to see How bad was. My Elantra 2008 is Still Good with 127500 miles. How long can last the rear Shocks ? —- My Suspension parts and all under car is like the New part you just Installed, they look all brand new . Thank you for Other Video .
I have an issue with my Elantra HD. The rear suspension had all its bushings replaced, the end links were replaced and shocks (genuine) replaced. Immediately I noticed the ride at the rear was very stiff to a point that it doesn't really compress. A month later about 600 miles, the shocks were softer but I noticed knocking sounds when going over rough surfaced roads or bumps. Went back to workshop to tighten up every nut, checked rear brake calipers and pins were all good without play, but the knocking noise still present. Could the absorbers be faulty hence emitting knocking sound?
Wow, this video couldn't have been posted any later or I would've brought my car to a mechanic. All I needed was a replace the rear shock in my 2010 Elantra I just bought.. and all the tutorials I see are for front struts or for models before 07 or after 2010.. gonna give this a shot next week
Is there a video for the spring in the rear ?
