Have you ever heard of an intermittent failure of a coil pack, I have a problem with a 206 cc 2.0l…. occasional misfire anti pollution warning pops up… have scanned for faults…. it said on one occasion ign failure cylinder2… cleared it off …then a few days later the failure moved to cyl4…. have replaced the cat… considering coil pack…. have already fitted new plugs.. in my experience coil packs usually fail completely…. e.g…. they don't recover… what do you think? Regards Peter

Hi Anton, I have a 206 CC with 1.6, that has the engine light on. It runs but some blue smoke. Also, there is oil in the spark plug wells. Is this engine salvageable and what could the repair be? It has 180000 km on it, roughly 112000 miles.

Andre Dyer says:

I have a 2006 Peugeot 207, which today just after putting in fuel starting to be jittery and shown engin light on with Depollution system faulty. Is that basically the same as the catalitic converter faulty?

kyme32 says:

true, but it can be also from injector, the problem it can be known only by diagnose, the car error are same, antipoluarion and calalizator failure for both, coil or injector, i had both problems

Hi Anton (also my son's name! πŸ™‚
I own a Peugeot 307/2006 and it wont start… it cranks but wont turn over. now, my key remote battery ran flat and so I replaced it hoping that was it but no. Now the display reads 'Economy Mode Activated' , all icon lights on main dash show on turning ignition then turn out, leaving ONLY the engine light still showing.
Is the car immobilised from the key fob batt change OR is the ignition coil curled over n died? Is it the main battery? (shouldn't be as only 5 months new!)

Do you have any words of wisdom for me?
Its New Years Eve… I'm stuck in the country with a car that wont start and there's no one local to help me!
I'm practical and willing to follow clear instructions to decipher the source of the problem myself!

Quiet NYE for me!! Thank you for any advice you can offer! or anyone else can offer, even!
