The actuator is pretty straight forward to replace. It is a little scary getting the glass loose though.

I came here to see how to replace the glass but i also found out i need a new actuator as well thanks man
My daughter had a fight with a garbage can and her 2008 Acura RDX lost. I took it to our repairman and he said the mirror would be $400 from dealer and I needed to shop ebay for cheaper mirrors. I found them for around $180-200 – some of which would have to be painted! I found a diagram while shopping for the mirror and with this video realized I was able to just order the Actuator. This will be her first lesson in DIY car repair. Thank you for this video!
This helped a ton with my '09 Pilot. Thanks so much for posting this!
The most difficult part is getting the mirror off. The lower right hand corner works the best for getting a long screwdriver. The blade fits in a slot and quick twist will separate it.
Very very helpful! Thanks for the video.
where did u order the oem actuator from?
These instructions worked for my 2011 MDX too. Very helpful – thanks!
Thanks for this helpful video. Also like the quality of the video.
thanks. nice and clear video. good stuff.
Awesome video! Going to purchase a [hopefully only $38] actuator and replace mine. The dealer did it the first time on my 2008 … disappointing that is needs to be replaced yet again. Going to save money this time!
