too dark and too close…
has to be your transmission if it feels like its going to stall. do you
hear like a chatter sound when its shaking or any sound at all. what car do
you have first of all? and if its shaking it has to be with the
drivetrain(engine, transmission, etc.)
thats gonna cost you some money to get that fixed too. it takes a few days
too so you better have a backup car
alright, take care, i would have liked to know what it was myself, i was
hoping you found out from a mechanic, anyways thanks
I had an EGR valve that went bad but did not cause idle problems; It only
caused trouble with light throttle (surging and bucking). Wide open
throttle and idle were normal. Pulling and plugging the vacuum line proved
nothing, still did the surging thing. Symptoms didn’t happen until closed
loop operation. I now recomend replacing the EGR when people bring me
vehicles with strange surging symptoms and everything else looks good (i.e.
the injector spray is consistant and the timing is correct.)
@stgrenade64 it does not add any extra power. You will lose some fuel
economy, too. The only performance benefit is the very slight weight
reduction. EGR is not active during full-throttle.
it looks like its freezing in there
if theres chatter, and the cars shaking, and it seems like its going to
stall, it is the drivetrain. nothing electrical can make that happen.
unless theres not enough electrical power going to your spark plugs. you
should get your distributor checked out, along with your spark plugs and
your spark plug wires.
@youpaynow78 usually check engine lights stay on even after the error was
taken care of. you have to hook it up to a obd computer and delete the
error message.
What will happen if i dont change my egr ??
bryanharrichran, did you find out what was the problem with your 1999 ford
explorer xlt?
oh okay, i thought it was when you were driving. its something that
internal that isint balanced. it could be a blown piston, your crankshaft
isint balanced anymore, misfiring. its with your engine then not your
transmission. i kept thinking it was happening when you were driving, but
it does it when the engine is warming up.
did the low battery thing get fixed when you got a new battery and
alternator? that chatter is either grinding gears, your throw out bearing
is bad, or you need to have your clutch disks replaced since its an
automatic. i have a very big suspicion that your transmission is bad and
you need it replaced or repaired. also, does your battery thing get low
when you lower or raise your windows?
Because when the engine is cold in the morning only. The car work fine no
shaking even when i put a window the battery stay in the middler. The
shaking began when is warming up. I means you can see the engine shaking
sometime it get worst and sometime not that munch. I put a glass of water
on top of the engine in you could see the water moving shaking.
i have an 89 lincoln town car and everytime i hook up my vacumm line onto
the nipple of the EGR valve the engine hesitates and then shuts off, can
anyone tell me why! please!
WD40 and a pipe wrench is all you need. Might need rust penetrating liquid
to break it loose depending on how much rust you have.
Come on Nathan, you pre-broke that large nut loose before you shot this
video. That nut is practically seized on any vehicle that you work on.
Plus, you would never get that off with a crescent wrench.
youll get very jumpy accelerations, your cars idle will be rough, and your
emissions will be affected. usually youll get a engine service warning, so
all you have to do is take your car to autozone and have them do a free
OBD2 reading to see if thats the problem. most people have never heard of
an EGR valve so they wouldnt know what it is or what to do.
Dude I can’t thank you enough, in these tough times every Hundo I spend
counts, and besides the two mounting bolts this looked like what I needed
to do to replace but I couldn’t be sure
Yo get some heat in that garage
how about the Turbo Encabulator.. .
guys you guys are sooo immature..
nuts and nipples…mechanics have all the fun!
I have a 1995 ford explorer and I can’t seem to remove that big nut from
the egr tube to the valve. It’s really rusted together and I tried torching
it to no avail. I don’t want to break the tube. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
You can try Sea form product to see if it work, good luck
Yes you got it so it might be a blown piston or crankshaft you say okay.
No it continue shaking even with the new battery and the new alternator. I
know i got a bad wheel bearing on my driver side wheel. but i dont that is
the problem. yes when i raise the window the battery get low. But the
tranmission is shift good the only problem with the tranmission is sometime
it take like a second longer to get revese. I change the filter on the
tranmission and oil too like 3 month ago. What make say that my tranmission
is bad?????
na, if i did id help ya but i got a similar problem with my ford f250 but
its been sitting so long i think the fuel injectors are clogged and its
shaking from lack of fuel to the chamber, what did you do with your
explorer?
Cresant wrench? Why not use the correct long pattern combination wrench? I
guess cresant is a last resort?
Amazing, thank you very much
I am trying to replace the tube that is attached to the EGR valve, the one
that runs the exhaust fuel to the intake manifold. What is that tube called?
yeah ive heard about that sea foam, havent tried it yet, i used to use
gumout complete fuel system cleaner but everyone says the sea foam is best,
have you ever tried it?
PB Blaster… Wait 15 minutes… Try removing the nut again. Keep doing
until you get it. Or just take it to a mechanic
No I couln”t fix cause nobody know what was causing the problem. You know
Please tell me thanks,
@Ali3970 im having the same problem but with my sierra the rpm runs steady
at idle then jumps up and down.. feels like itll stall on me at any time
and its runns like its singing the blues.
This is the only clip where it looks like he knows something.
Man I got that same dam problem that fuxn nut hard is hell im still tryna
break it nw
@youpaynow78 , DPFE sensor?
nice vid. now my problem is how to easily disable EGR . do I only have to
pull and disconnect the vacuume hose to disable it? i heard it add extra
power disabling it.
HAHAHAHHA
the problem is that Autozone would not check my car because the engine
light is off. But the car shaking like if going to install. But never
install i dont know what is the problem? Any suggest??
that fking nut is insane, I have two days trying to remove it from the egr
and it does not even move a single bit
yes i hear like chatter sound but sometime it do it loud and sometime not
much at all. and also when i turn on the A/C or the light at night or up a
window up or down the battery point that is low. It got a new alternator
and a battery. I got a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT . Any suggest??????
