Great vid one thing though that bothered me, pure oxygen is not flammable
it is a great accelerant but it will not light without a fuel in this case
acetylene. you can take a lighter to a torch rig like with just the oxygen
bottle cracked and it wont light ,

Thank you Dan! This is helpful, and I like the out takes at the end 🙂

I’ve been helping a friend (His name is Torleif, a Norwegian name) with his
2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. We’re going to replace the exhaust, everything
after the catalytic converter.

You mentioned using ** sealer ** on the pipes. That is new to me. I’ll do a
search.

We don’t have a car hoist or air tools; just jacks and jack stands. I’m
okay with sliding under the Caravan and cutting the old pipes with a
hacksaw or a cutting wheel. I like the vehicle to be as quiet as possible.
So we’re going to buy the quietest muffler we can find. To each his own.

A happy Thanksgiving to you and your family :)

very nice video, true education. What would you do if the CAT had an
integrated flange that is not mating well with the new one (from new
muffler). It is leaking there and I don’t know what to do. Thanks

Great Video thanks!!!!

Dan Reed says:

Sorry for the delay, they don’t tell me when there is a question…
Generally, you can file the area smooth on the cat.. that helps, sometimes
the flange warps… Is there a seal or gasket missing?

TiredOldFart says:

The chrome sockets will also get stuck on the impact gun. Don’t ask how I
know that.
