Tank cap off *

Povilas Repšys says:

Thanks, nice and very informative without “talky sh*…”

Chris hedley says:

Also after coolant change run the car with the expansion tank OFF. air
should just make its way out.

Chris hedley says:

Just my two cents worth. It’s worth flushing through the radiator by using
a hose pipe or some fresh water then refill. Also use a funnel to reduce
spill image.

amc3 says:

Great and informative video, thanks for doing it. I was in my car earlier
today and my heaters were blowing cold air? Checked my coolant levels, i
got a leak on a pipe i think. But your video showed me how to top it up. Id
never done it before, usually leave it to my garage…im embaressed now
:)…thanks again.

where are the air locks located and why didnt he show us that part in
detail?

Mark's Garage says:

If the thermostat is damaged it may not be opening. If the thermostat
doesn’t open, then coolant can’t get through to cool the engine. If coolant
can’t circulate, then the engine will overheat. Watch out on the
temperature guage. If it goes into the red, stop the engine, you don’t want
to damage it.

Mark's Garage says:

5L should be enough in theory. However I would recomend having at least 6L
as you may spill some and / or want to top up the coolant later on. Best to
have a bit spare just in case and not have to go to shop have way through
the job to get more coolant 🙂

BmwSyed says:

for a volvo i would use a name brand coolant like prestone.. but usually
they are 50/50 mix you can buy it at autozone for around 14 dollars

yoshiotamura says:

How do one change the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors on this
Volvo model..mine is 2001

hajenleet says:

how much coolant do you need? 5L is enough?

Xampuu Alvarado says:

a little question if the thermostat is damaged the temperature and the
pressure on the car can raise up?

Andrew Cutler says:

What about flushing the heater? Protip: Tilt the bottle on the side when
pouring for more control.

Vic Stefanu says:

Great video however, you are not saying what mix of water and coolant you
added… was it 100% coolant?

lind sey says:
