Mine was Worldwide Alternator from Advance Auto Parts with lifetime warranty and RockAuto.com had same model (12003) under name Remy. ToughOne for my Nissan Altima again has same model # 12003. It sounds that it is the same item but they keep changing the name. Mine is still working and when it dies, I can take it back with the lifetime warranty.
Ever hear of “Tough One” alternators? i just had a reman alt die on me and when i went into advanced auto this was what they gave me. Im just curious if you know anything about this brand.. Would like to know if i should be worried.
No tool was used. I did it the least scientific way. I did it by measuring with a ruler the deflection of the belt at the tension check points. Here you can see the values for a new belt: videosdiy.blogspot.com
why did you take off the pulley at the bottom? what for? as far as i remember-if bottom tensioner is loose-you should be able to take it out without removing AC pulley. just 0.02
Around $100 after returning core. Worldwide Alternator from Advance Auto Parts with lifetime warranty. I think RockAuto.com has same model under name Remy. I bought online with free pickup at store using discount coupon and did it via ebates.com for rebate.
Thank you thank you thank you. Total job time was about 35 minutes.
Very creatively shot my man. Thanks for the upload.
