We recommend changing the filter every 1 year or 15k. This may very depending on where you live so you should check your filter at these intervals to see if you need to change it or now.
How often does this filter need changes. I have a 2012 Altima with 20k
Not all Altimas in these year range have Cabin air filters. I just pulled apart an 08 that did not.
Awesome!! I’m buying my filter from you too.
Anyone have issues with their glove box light working after this? I know it might just be a burned out bulb, but what’s the likelihood that I pulled something out of place rolling these steps such as a wire, or an on/off switch?
thanks so much for posting this video….changing the filter was easy….could not have done it without this video.
I worked successfuly with this Video with Altima 2009. In fact you do not need to do this if you know its exact position. At first I followed another video to directly open the right panel, but I found it difficult to pull it out, only very small tab can be touched. So I followed this video to remove the whole box then I knew exactly where it is. The second time I just open the panel again and pull it out and insert the new one without moving the whole glovebox. It only took 10 minutes for me.
THANKS A LOT!
this is a great video….thanks a million….
just wanted to know if this video works for a 2012 altima?
Great video! Just ordered a 3-pak for my 2010 and the wife’s 2008. Thank you!!
Purchased a 3 pack of filters a couple of months ago and just got around to replacing the original that was in the car. Was a pain in the butt, but only took me about a half hour, and I am no mechanic. Now that I know where the door to the filter compartment is, I’m sure I can reach in back of the glove box and do the replacement next time without removing the glovebox since the Filterhead filter came with a tab to remove the used one easily. Thanks Filterhead.
We’re glad this video could help and thank you for your business!
What a crappy filter design. Thanks for the video and warning. I’ll buy from you, as I’m sure others will out of gratitude.
Awesome videos and it does look like a pain in the butt, but the video explains everything
This was a very nice video and explained it well, what a pain in the butt though, its definitely doable but alot of steps, with my Sienna, it took less than 2 mins, no tools required, this was more involved, but still worth it DIY for the cost savings.
Thankyou!
Very Precise & excellent video
The manual indicates open the the panel on the side of the console and open the filter door. This video shows removing the whole glove box. Why not just remove the panel on side of console and open filter door?
You’re welcome! Thanks!
Thanks! God ‘s Blessing to YOU!
You’re welcome! We’re glad you could do it yourself!
One Nissan Dealer disliked this video…. Thanks for the help guys you’re a life saver.
We’re glad you found this video helpful!
Thanks for the video. This saved me from trying to open the wrong compartment. The dealership wants .5hrs labor to change it, plus however more the filter is, versus me buying filter locally and replacing it myself.
We’re glad our video could help! It is in a pretty odd location and kinda tricky to get to!
although I had to be a contortionist to it. 🙂
Done. Awesome video. Thanks for saving me $75
