Our Ultimo kit will lower the car roughly 4 inches below stock height.
How low can they go?
I would pick up new topmounts and bearing for the front suspension, they do wear out pretty easy and a lowered and hard suspension only makes them wear out even quicker…
I also finish the installation with a spray of oil treatment on the coil and locking perches, its alloy againts galvanised steel, and galvanic corrosion will make it hard to get apart later on..

Depending on the height, you will need adjustable endlinks to keep the sway bar from rubbing on the axle.
If you have a Mk4 with a 2.0L you will need an aftermarket sway bar with adjustable link-its or else your Sway Bar will rub on your wheel axles this is if you drop your car lower than 1.4”
The install is a lot the same but the nice thing about the MK6 is that the front upper strut mounts are less complicated.
How different is the installation on the Mk4 to the Mk6? Anything I should know?
Just installed these on my mk4 jetta and they are awesome, only problem i had was the passenger side slid down in the hub thing and took out the cv shaft boot. Kinda my fault since i forgot to get the replacement bolts. But as a side note, the paper that came in the box stated 45 ft/lb for the torque spec, vw says 60nm (45 ft/lb) PLUS an additional 90 degrees, no less than 90.. Great product though, would definately buy again if i had to
When you lower the car, the camber will become more negative.
yes they will. You’ll have to realign the wheels.
Will these affect the camber of the wheels?
I’ve had these coilovers for 2 and a half years and im not gonna lie I Trash the shit out of them because they were only 400 bucks and i figured i get better ones later on. but that changed after my warranty went away i looked at them and there still in full 100% working condition, i have done numerous mountain runs hit hard potholes and hey they still hold up good, GOOD job raceland you have my two thumbs up
Here are the part numbers for the lower stretch bolts you will need from Volkswagen.
-N10207804 (2 are required)
-N10106402 (2 are required)
Depending on how you low you plan to lower the car, you may need adjustable end links as the sway bar can come in contact with the axle. Other than that, you will just need to re-use or replace the OEM upper strut mounts and the lower stretch bolts for the front mounts.
do i need to change any other parts when doing this to my mk4 gti? like end links and other stuff to prevent rubbing? sorry im a nood at this
Anyone have part #s for the oem parts needed for install?
We didn’t.
did you have to take axle nut off and lower control arm bolts out and pull spindle out for clearence?
omfg you guys are awesome
hahaha really digging the ronald jenkees
i got mine put on last week and I’ve never been happier
We will be shortly. The install is similar to the MK4. The only difference is that the front upper strut mounts are a lot less complicated.
Nice work mate!!
any chance you are going to post a video on the gti mkv?
Thanks for the post!! Finally a decent video on Youtube showing how to install coilovers to a MK4 Golf!
We are working on a video now and should have it posted shortly.
Just heard about your company yesterday from my friend, and I will be purchasing in the near future. Will you be making any videos on how to install on a 99-04 Mustang GT? Would really like to see one before the install.
Thanks for the post!
