Well, lets just hope you get ‘taken out’ one night by the Taliban whilst on patrol, before he gets testicular cancer and dies eh! Oh dear, hope thats not cursed you and your unit … its not nice to wish ill on others is it 🙂
MADMANMUSICINC, The words management, anger & counselling spring to mind. I would hate to think what you’re like when somebody really upsets you. I do agree it would have been nice to see the actual bulb replacement but what have you done lately to help someone for nothing?
The headlights were made with and without the orange. Unfortunately you have to buy a different set if you want to get ones without.
language, language- you kiss your momma (or daddy) with that mouth? glad to see this is the caliber of individual currently coming out of our armed forces training programs. really sets my mind at ease. my god-fearing ww2 vet marine granddaddy would smack the taste out of your mouth if you talked like that in front of him. if you want to shoot straight, you have to be able to calm yourself down – try it out sometime.
Thanks so fucking much for not showing how to actually change the fucking light bulb! And thank you so god dam much for wasting my motherfucking time you stupid fuck! I truly do hope that you catch testicular cancer! You are a waste of space on earth so do us all a favor and kill your self immediately!
It looked like you replaced the orange part that was below the main part on the headlamp for a clear one. Where did you get that? As I want to get rid of the orange part as well.
You help me a lot. Thank you
Dude thank you for this! You saved me around $185 bucks rofl. I cannot believe how easy this is. I love YouTube. I have saved around $1500 so far by doing things myself, of course, with help from amazing people like you! =)
Just wax it or buff it and it’ll be gone. Done that many times.
thank you!!!!!
damn i wasted a bulb by changing the wrong one (the high beam) lol!
youd think the high beam would be the top one..
thanks for this, so easy! i almost paid my mechanic to do this lol.
Thanks for the vid… Just what I needed. I’m a visual learner.

Thankyou!!!
Great help. It may be necessary to remove trim cover 996 504 811 00 to help remove light housing. Happy 2012
Where is the bulb changed in this video?
Brilliant video just helped me out big time pal massive thumbs up!!!!
I heard rumors that you could heat your headlights in the oven to melt the seal, pull them apart and remove that lens with the yellow burns on it, then stick them back together with silicone. Unfortunately, my oven wasn’t big enough to get the entire headlight inside it, and the bottom started melting onto the baking sheet, so I have that up. Then I tried using a heat gun to open them. That started melting them as well. I gave up on the idea after that.
10x a lot dude, i just want to ask you about the yellow burns inside the headlight, can we fix those? maybe change the interior head light.. can it be done?
2006 Boxster notes:
The 2006 boxster toolkit, afaict, does not include any wrench.
It is a 5mm hex bolt, so you need a 5mm hex female socket.
The “release” turn is clockwise, as you face the bolt from inside the bonnet.
I tried counterclockwise. Not only did it not work — the 5mm socket came off the 1/4″ drive! I then tried clockwise. The headlamp housing loosened, and the 5mm socket stuck to the drive (whew! lucky.)
Wow Thanks for the great videos ! I love your channel . I have a BOXSTER S 2003 and I cant find anywhere how to change the rear turn signal bulb. Its not in the owner’s manual. Any insight or link would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much
Make sure you turn the hex nut the right direction (clockwise) and it locks into place.
I made the mistake of not properly locking it in place. When I came to a quick stop at a stop light, my headlight flew out in front of my car and I plowed it a few feet before I came to a complete stop. The back of the unit broke and the asphalt scratched the lens. Not a good outcome.
Thanks for the great video. On my car (2001 S 986 with Xenon lights) it needed a 5 mm nut driver though. Glad I bough the whole set (Sears 14064 $19.99).
It’s a 6mm hex. Make sure you lock them back in with a half turn clockwise when you’re finished. I think I left that out at the end.
What’s the name of that tool, what size hex?
Great write up, it was easy.. thanks! I got HID’s now!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU! Your video just saved me a couple hundred bucks and an entire day at my dealership. Whoo hoo 🙂
Just wanted to say “Thanks” for the video. I just changed a headlight by myself and I’m not a mechanic to say the least.
I’m a happy man !
