Theres only 5 bolts and 3 clips on a 95 chevy truck the other ones are for
the little plastic piece on the bottom that you dont have to take out

I am trying to remove the two long screws that hold the front of the
headlight assembly in. I think you call them 5mm studs. ony the outside
screw of each light comes out. the inside ones just keep turning and
turning and won’t come loose. Any suggestions? I don’t want to remove the
grill as I have a huge brush bar on front. Any help would be appreciated.
@highcountrycuda Yes, There are alignment screws on top. From 20 feet away
on a level surface with a wall or board in front, the headlights should be
aimed straight forward. High Beam concentration should be level with the
height of the bulb and low beam concentration should be 1 inch below the
height of the bulb.

how do you adjust the beam of the headlight
@griffco68 There may be some type of a fastener at the bottom of the screw
that has become loose and is turning with the screw. If this is the case
you may need to find something to hold that nut or fastener in place while
you unscrew the screw that holds the headlight in. Hope this helps you out.
When u pull the grill, u don’t need to pull the screws from the bottom,
there’s 3 clips that unsnap.

headlight lenses on my 1999 GMC. Are there any sharks in the water if I
removed the lens from the two new headlight assemblies I purchased and only
installed them on the old base plates instead of taking off the grill and
replacing everything? There is no damage to the lights, just very old and
scratched up. Thanks in advance for your comments.
@chevys1500 Yes you are correct. You can just unclip the bottom. The way I
show is just easier to translate on camera.
@z71greenMACHINE i just put some HID’s in on my 93 silverado, i just cant
find a way to adjust them lower. the procedure is easy!!! just remove the
housing as shown in the video, unplug the cable from the old light bulbs.
remove old light bulbs, put in HID bulbs (be very careful not to DAMAGE the
HID bulb!! dont touch the bulb part it with your bare hands and try not to
bump it anywhere) plug in the stock light cable into the HID ballast, and
plug in the cables from the ballast to the bulb.

@leurseng did you ever figure it out? I have the same question. I’ve tried
adjusting both of the top screws sticking up from each headlight assembly,
and nothing seems to change. In fact, I loosened one of them until and came
out, and still, nothing happened…
Great video. I need some new headlights but I don’t want to remove my grill
to change them. Can I replace the bulbs then remove the headlights from the
new kit and replave them on the old harness? Please respond.

are the headlight wire hook ups on an 89 chevy truck the same as on a 92
chevy truck? just got new headlamps for my 89 chevy and it says 92-98 but
says also fits the 89 models

Hahah man I remember the first time changing lights on my truck (97 sierra)
I ended up taking off the entire grill just to swap out 1 high beam bulb..
when putting it back together I learned u just needed to take out two
bolts.. not my brightest moment.. get it 😉

Hey, I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado, with the same headlight just like the
suburban that you’re working on. For some reason, I just can’t find where
the headlight adjustment are at. Can you tell me where it is.
No problem. That is the idea. We’ll keep creating these, let us know if
there is an installation you or your friends are looking for.
@MrRaff99 If there’s a clip that it screws into that’s turning with it. You
may need to find something to apply pressure to it so that it doesn’t turn,
while you back the screw out.

@skitenvt Those 5mm are adjusting screws you do not remove them.
@wa5t3dy0u7h You would have to check with the manufacturer of the HID kit.
There may be some modifications that need to be done to the original parts.
The should be on the backside on the light.
