This video will show you how to upgrade the hydro boost on the 2001-2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra’s to the 2011 LML Duramax hydro boost. The original hydro boost that came on these model year trucks had weak and squishy brakes. The hydro boost that came on the 2011 model year trucks had upgraded internal parts and is an upgrade that works for the 2001-2010 year trucks. This is a complete bolt on upgrade and no modification is needed although there has been a few people that needed to ream out the brake pedal push rod hole. This upgrade should also work for any of these vehicles using the hydroboost including the Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, and even the Hummer H2. Will this work on the 2003 gmc with 6.0 gas engine?
I did all this but I have a mild mild vibration in the pedal at idle/stop. Any advice? Rebleed up in the air?

Thanks much for this info. The video was very complete, and enabled me to do the job in a couple of hours, taking my time. I'm old, so I would expect a younger person to do it much quicker. As stated in earlier comments, if you are more than 165 lbs or not agile, make sure you are comfortable spending time under the dashboard before you attempt. The inner firewall bolts take a little time.

For 2004 Silverado duramax can I install it
Great video i just want to let everyone know to check the brake light switch. The boost pump I bought had a longer engagement and my rake light would not go off. So the piece that connects to the brake pedal may need to be sanded down. Mine was about .020 to long. Hard to fix this after it’s installed so check before installing. Good luck
Thank you for this video! I didn't upgrade the hydroboost but I changed a leaking one for a new ACDelco one. Took about 5 hours and without your video I probably would not have been able to do it. Hardest part was getting the 4 nuts loose under the dashboard due to how confined the space is. You deserve an Oscar for filming it so clearly! If I have to do it again I'm going to get a ratchet with extra fine teeth that will work better in such a tight space. Thanks also for putting so much effort into showing the flushing and bleeding procedure. My brakes feel a lot firmer now.
