How to replace a GM ignition lock that will not turn or start the car.

I sold this 2004 Pontiac grand Am GT a few months back and never finished it. I got the dreaded call that the car would not start. The key would not turn in the ignition. It sounded like a bad ignition lock, but the problem becomes, to change it, you need to turn it. This isn’t my first rodeo, so I know how to handle it. I have never seen this problem on a Grand Am, but I have done this job on Impalas, Monte Carlos, Cutlass, Malibu and Aleros for the early 2000s.
To save a tow we will do it at the owner’s house, so it better be quick because it is hot outside!

When you put the new lock in, would you please wear a blindfold when you record it?

The way you troll Ford guys makes me laugh every time….knowing full well I honestly think you don’t trust any brand vehicle after all the ones you’ve fixed by now.

I miss when you used to do body work on cars…
