The shop I go to wants to charge me 350 for both front rotor replacements.
(the pads are still almost new) This is going to save me a lot of money.
@itavio Whoever scanned the code should be able to tell you what it’s
pointing to. You could also try to use Google to see if there’s something
that corresponds with it.
could not of done the brakes of not for A-1 Auto Videos
Got a question … I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer LS 4wd w/ all wheel disc
brakes. Is the process about the same for the rear as it for the front or
how is it different cause I’m looking to replace the back brake pads
installing new ones.
nice
@eisg You may want to check the fuses to see if one is blown that powers
the display.
You would want to check the fluid before and after you pump the brakes to
make sure it does not come down rapidly like you would see if you were
losing fluid from a leaking caliper or line.
Ayyy dude how come when I haul a small traller with my 88 Chevy silverado
my breaks slip …. I have to go very slow like 15 MPH just to have time to
stop …
i have an 03 s10 ex-cab ls 2wd. do the front just simply slide off, or is
there a nut that needs to be removed?
@miguelzepeda20 It could be the added weight of the trailer. You may want
to check to see if the trailer has electric brakes,to help you stop.
The rear should be pretty much the same. the only real difference would be
if you can’t compress the rear caliper and you need to turn it down with a
caliper tool on the backside of the caliper. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
nice video amigo!!you make me save money!!
do you have any videos of how to change a coil spring in the same truck or
how to check them ?
@akondick We currently do not have a video that shows that particular
repair. If you have a Chiltons or a Haynes manual, they should tell you how
make that repair. We carry the Haynes manuals for most vehicles on our
website 1aauto.com
My 98 Blazer has ABS. I’ve been reading that doing brakes on a car/truck
with ABS requires different steps than just compressing the piston back
into the caliper. Any comments?
I have a 96 sonoma 2.2 and lately it has been using up too much gas wich
caused my cat. Converter to burn out. Its giving out a 1406 code is there a
way to check to see exactly where the problem is?
can someone please help me out i have a 2004 grand prix gtp comp g my (hud)
heads up display isn’t working at all..
If you follow this video, it will show you how to properly do the brakes on
your truck, if it’s an S10 Blazer.
nice video!
On the 2003 S10 you would need to remove the dust cover, cotter pin, nut
and bearings. We do carry a disk brake and pad kit on our website with FREE

Great video! I have a couple of questions. Is it also important to check
the brake fluid? If so, would you do this before or after you pump the
brakes? Also, should I expect the process for my 2002 GMC Sonoma (extended
cab) to be substantially the same as for the 2003? Thanks!
