The mirror assembly consists of two different pieces; the base and the painted cap. These part numbers will vary based on the year and trim model of your CRV. Make sure to have the vin number ready when calling the local Honda Dealership.

Just like everybody else , I was quoted $850.00 for just for the parts. I came on here and this Video is super clear and I found a replacement on Amazon and followed the steps . This guy explained everything perfectly and in less than 20 minutes I had it installed. My original Mirror cover lid was not damaged and fit the replacement mirror assembly, so that was just bonus because you can’t tell it was ever damaged

It had very clear instructions and was shot well to show clearly what needs to be done. Saved about $1k by following the instructions and doing the repair by myself.
I cannot believe how these dealerships can quote 2hours of labor for this assembly replacement when I myself did the entire thing within an hour. Plus their quotation was $250/hr, this a total of $500 just for labor. This is insane.

I was just quoted $880. Noted $70/ hour for body labor & paint labor, and then $50 for paint supplies. Listed for 2 hours of work. Maybe for paint but the rest? Outrageous!

I’m back! I clipped a side view as a driver came at me aggressively and I tried to get out of the way. Luckily both mirrors folded, however my mirror cracked upon impact on my window.
This was a $100 fix. I’ve now replaced both sides haha. This time around the painted plate was separate (much better match for my car though) took a few tries but the button up approach worked well! Thanks again!
It's possible disassembly the mounting bracket from the housing where is located the mirror and change it? someone brake my mirror in this part

Excellent video. I have ordered a replacement mirror and want to salvage the cap from my old mirror (2022 CR V hybrid EX-L). I have removed the mirror from the car and have taken the glass out but can’t get the old cap off the mirror base. Can you give me any advice as I have located the clips that are behind the mirror glass but can’t get them to release the cap. Thanks, Ted Shultz

Thank you so much! My mother hit a friend’s mailbox while backing out of their driveway. Destroyed her driver’s side mirror. Honda dealership quoted her over $1000 for parts and labor. I was able to find a replacement mirror on Amazon for $97. I’m a 34 year old woman with very limited auto repair experience and I was able to complete this repair by myself in under 45 minutes using your video. To others reading this: definitely purchase the pry tools and socket wrench – it’ll make your life a lot easier.
