Hi what were the symptoms when this is failing? Thank you

@usmuse says:

Error code came back two days later. I probably had too much play in the flaps due to the internal slot engineering and such as mentioned in the German guy's vid. In other words take your chances.

Thanks!
For anyone installing this on a Tiguan, removing the airbox is pretty much a must to access the rear properly. It makes the job much easier.
Also, be careful not to over-tighten the set screws. I found that tightening them past the point where the bolts and cap sit flush was too much; the linkage arm stopped moving. I backed them off slightly, and the arm moved freely again.
Before reinstalling the airbox, double-check that the arm moves smoothly and isn’t binding. It’ll save you from having to take everything apart again.
Hope that helps someone!

I have a 2012 Volkswagen CC with the same issue. After installing the ECS part, did it work properly and were there any problems later?

@ad_homo_novus says:

Is this device suitable for Skoda Yeti 1.8 TSI?

@Chapstiiickk says:

3 years later this saved me a lot of time, thank you. That rear set screw SUCKED to get at though, ended up using a 2.5 mm driver bit by hand

@tb4768 says:

For anyone having trouble accessing the middle/rear screws, just remove the airbox. It's relatively easy to remove the airbox and will give you more room to access those screws.

Wil this work on 1.8 tsi engine

@total_noob_tankernoob4225 says:

Outstanding ! I got a P2015 code from the OBS and shoved in the wrong direction with this sensor failure.
You showed me the right fix !
Tip for everyone , to check if this is also the problem you have , erase the failure in the OBS , guide the valve spring with your hands like the repair kit would do and let someone start the engine.
If the failure does not appear anymore … voila! you got this problem and know now the fix
BTW I could see the little plastic lever sucked in when giving 2000 RPM and that was even fixing it temporary by itself.
But again the repair kit will fix it permanently !

Thanks again $60 is a bargain compared with the alternative.( Not to speak of what Volkswagen would scrape out of your pocket)

I put that piece of ECS on, but it did not take the code off, at first I noticed a certain improvement in the acceleration of the car but the next day it started to pull and it was almost impossible to drive, could you give me any advice?
