The tapping noise you hear later in your stream is definitely a broken piece of the catalytic converter. I have the exact same sound and issue with my 2008 Tundra. It is not the engine. If you listen closely you can tell from the hollow sound that the noise is coming from the exhaust/catalytic converter. It does no harm to your engine it's just an annoying sound that you'll occasionally hear so it's not constant. The only fix is a new catalytic converter. Not a very cheap fix.
