I’m the SupraMKV forum member (climhazzard) who suggested the video! Thank you so much for doing this Faye. The video is phenomenal – you make it look far too easy; I’d probably spend hours fighting the DME removal (glad ‘future you’ confirmed we don’t need to do that).
Anyway, thank you again – I hope this gets lots of views from not only Supra owners, but G2x series BMW owners as well. This is, as far as I know, the only video of its kind right now.
It always made people confused when I would tell them that the engine mount bolts were one time use ALUMINUM bolts.
Im a BMW Master Technician. Great job Faye!
You have no idea how much of a lifesaver this is. I own a 2020 Supra thats failing to read its oil level past 18%. There were literally zero tutorials on how to do this to a Supra until yesterday. I wanted to take a crack at it myself but got worried due to me not having any official service manuals on how to do it. Thank you SO much!
So shop fix, got it.
You can tell by draining oil between a BMW 850 & Supra which car was driven hard.
i love the attention to detail and clear and concise explanation of everything you're doing. you should be a teacher or something haha
Mopar or no car
Ha I use the same headlamp! Works great!
It's crazy that a quality company like Toyota would team up with trash like BMW
best of luck on your supra certification.
Fantastic work, Faye.
This video is just confirmation of why I despise BMWs. Way to make something as simple as an oil pump incredibly complicated.
It’s an amazing car but I wish Toyota had more involvement in the mechanical design.
Thanks for the video.
You are awesome Faye. Keep it up!
Faye, you rocked this fix / upgrade, lovely detailed work capture, thank you!
Stellar video. Dont need to worry about this repair yet but appreciate you having every part number for all the fasteners. That's huge!
Fab work, Faye. I don't have a Supra and my Toyota is completely different, but I like to see the approach you take in tackling repairs. Great to demonstrate this work on your own car, which gives huge confidence to anyone asking you to follow this up on theirs.
Being vulnerable, and show your mistakes, is very bold and strong, i like that. I really don't understand if people will give you hate comments for it.
Btw very nice car and i love the b58 bmw engine
You’re missing the best part of this project. You driving your car.
