Tbh I just don’t understand why manufacturers use drums anymore, pads & rotors are far easier to do and in the long run are cheaper to replace for the customer. Since some places don’t mess with resurfacing rotors and drums since there’s a chance you get brake pulsation. I can easily do front pads and rotors on a Toyota Corolla in about 45 minutes if I’m taking my time and cleaning/lubricating things properly. Although the kinds of pads I hate doing are the style that are known as “ wind back” basically instead of a miniature drum brake as your parking brake it uses your actual caliper as one. They’re very annoying because you don’t know if they’re seized or not until you get the car in for the job. Normal calipers you can get a small pry bar or flathead screw driver and just push it back and figure out if the caliper and slides are good so if the customer declines brakes at the time I’ll know that the calipers and slides are good so we don’t have to quote calipers
