I would have though it to be the rotors on the front too. The rear rotors are known as "Top Hat" because of their resemblance to a man's top hat. Nice to actually find the problem. It can be frustrating to look and not find anything wrong. Having a dial indicator to check the rotor run-out is next-level diagnosis. Well done, Mike. Glad you found it. Now you get to install rear brakes Probably a good time to lubricate the parking brake cables too. Take care!
Glad you found it Mike.
Good morning Mike. ☕️☕️
That would explain the bumping in the brakes and not in you steering wheel and breaks. Good to know. Nice find Mike.
Great job finding the problem. Getting to the bottom of issues like this can be very difficult
Good afternoon Mike! Visually your front pads and rotors look good. No grooving, glazing and pistons are moving freely. Also not warped as per analog gauge. The slide pins are not ceased. I was just going to say check the back brakes, but you just did. Glad you found the problem. It is hard to detect where the vibration is coming from when you depress the brake pedal. Just did my truck front brakes a few weeks ago, one of the front calipers was locking up on and off. It was an easy diagnoses since there was plenty brake dust on the wheel. Changed the calipers, pads and rotors on both sides. Cost little of $1000. Have a good one!
Good catch Mike! That rotor looked pretty bad. With my Jeep, the rear brakes seem to be the weak spot.
Glad that you found it Mike
It seems to me that if you are feeling it all in the pedal, that it is the rears of its not your ABsS pump
Could it be the ABS system itself Mike?
What year is your 4 Runner Mike ?
Good morning Mike ☕️☕️
