All you need is A hammer, a Neodymium magnets inside a socket of equal size to the retainer. Give it a medium heavy whack on the socket and you're done. The magnet inside the socket will pick up the keepers faster than you can blink
hi i did a valve adjustment wrong, not on the comrpession stroke and its been ticking for 300 miles driven, scooter gy6, now with the valves correctly adjusted, it goes 10mph slower, any idea on what could have gone wrong. I think the valves were touching the head and maybe not good spring anymore?
That tool is still usable. Take a long shank screw the same size diameter. Cut it to the same thickness of the wrench. Press fit it with red loctite. Put it back in your son’s tool box!
Saved me 65$ as that's what the valve spring compression tool cost at Napa today when i went to pick up my parts (i realize that they are probably cheaper elsewhere but Napa is the only parts store within a hour of my house and i don't have a week to wait on eBay to ship one) thanks for the hack jack!
Is this the same process for a bmw x5

Your a life savior. Thanks
Was air in the spark plug used here
A piece of flat stock would work just as good and wouldn't ruin or weaken a wrench
Will a stuck valve spring cause tick noise? I changed the lifters already
Works for two or tree after that it breaks just buy tool
struggling with something similar right now – going to see if something like this will work for me.
