Folks, do not use these. Those dial indicators are not very accurate and you do run the risk of overcharging your system, especially if the problem is not the refrigerant level. I also note this product has stop-leak in it, another no-no. That stuff can get hung up in your expansion valve/orifice tube and in your condenser, making an even worse problem.
Far better to take it to someone with the right tools for the job. You'll be much better off in the long run.
Very helpful video! Thanks! My 2015 Subaru Impreza has a low port in a different location and at first I put like half of the contents of the canister in but didn’t see the needle change. After reconnecting it I saw that I’m now in the middle of the green zone and the AC feels cold again.
Should also figure out where it is leaking from since the refrigerant doesn’t for bad, expire or be consumed when being used. If it is ever low it has a leak. If you keep doing this then the lubricants leak out and eventually you will be replacing the entire ac system. This is a good band aid fix but get it tested for leaks.
I have the exact same Subaru with the exact same problem. Did you fill to the middle of the green section? More importantly, did it work and is it blowing cold continuously?
