I have a 2016 Maxima (CVT). Im noticing a bit of a lag/delay when shifting on (R) and (D). Is this normal for CVT or it means there's a problem with the transmission?

Sir pls guide me i jave suzuki alto 2012 eco DJM , when i start my car put it in D or Reverse after putting in gear it takes 8 to 10 second to shift the gear it happens only when i start the engine, when emgime is running it put it in N and tjen D or R it works car move but 1st time when i start the engine this issue i facing pls guide what can i do, i check my transmission oil clean tje filter oil is in good condition but after opening the issue is not solved yet pls guide

I m having same prb while shifting from P to D while engine is cold.. What is the solution?
I drive a 1995 saturn sl1. Recently it's been slamming in reverse after I replaced the selonoid a year ago. Fine for a couple months, then came back. makes a chirping noise on first and second gear but disappears on 3rd gear…sometimes it delays in gear.. I get a check engine light code 26. Which according to the Haynes manual says, "torque converter clutch stuck on" ….could that be the issue? Last night when I drove, I was at the stop light. When I accelerated, the car was stuck in limp mode, then as I drove and slowly but surely got fast…everything was fine.
Interesting technique. Will give it a go. Having the same issue with my Audi A4 for the past 4 years. Delayed shifting into reverse. Started a few weeks after I did an ATF and filter change. Used to take 1 second before shifting, now its about 3 seconds before it engages with a somewhat mild jerk. Forward shifts are fine though.
