how about using some tension block when putting the sheet in?
Are both sides of the sheet same?
Good video. A couple of comments –
Hoopat make a quick tray for the Saturn.. expensive but makes this process a LOT faster!
Back to the normal one:
This is not the Ultra version and this is REALLY important because the Ultra has a heated bed – make sure the two brass pins poke through the film when you finish tightening everything up.
If in doubt – run the tests when you put the tray back on the printer BEFORE putting resin in!
I'd highly recommend a small electric screw driver to (only) remove the screws, saves a lot of time. Don't use it to screw everything back up or at least start the screws by hand.

I tried this on my Saturn 16K Ultra and it is failing. I don't see any film interfering with the two contacts for the resin heating but i am reading that this is the issue. At a loss, machine keeps failing when running the startup check and stating not detecting resin plate.
Second time coming back to this video after my fist successfully changed fep. Thanks again man!

Hopefully, 20k people haven't followed this incorrect way to fit the fep! Where's your spacer under the fep to add some slack? If you need to know how to do this just watch the elegoo official video and safe yourself countless headaches

legitimately though.. i just got my printer on wednesday, a few failed prints resulted in my needing to pry some pieces off the screen (now i know about the clean screen feature – how freaking cool)… so i inevitably ended up with a few scratches and a few dings probably from the print plate pushing down on failed pieces.. dont want to wait till catastrophe hits. glad i looked at the cost of replacing those screens cause it's nothing really
I thought youre not supposed to use alcohol on the FEP because it makes it cloudy?
Also, are you bottoming the bolts out or just getting it taught all around?
Man… last time I replaced my Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra sheet, I had almost all the screws tightened when the damn alan screwdriver slipped and ripped the new sheet!!!

I've gotta admit, the blue confused me when it showed up. My last set had clear protectors on both sides (and wasn't PFA it was FEP) so I was like "Ok, is it the thick clear part or the blue part that I want?" Glad I got an answer.

So what's the trick to fix a busted FEP on a Saturn 4 Ultra/Mars 5 Ultra when there's a tear to stop it pouring its contents into the machine's guts?

Thanks for the video! I never replaced one of these but you should tighten it from side to side. I use replace like those big commercial billboard and i noticed that the best way was from side to side. Not sure this would help….. Hope it makes it easier!

the original guide from elegoo suggests you to place a piece of something soft under the film when fastening it in the frame, to increase slack and reduce tension when it is installed in the vat
Would heating up a scratch awl or something work a bit better you think to make the holes or would the heat from the tip of the awl warp the film too much?
