I think i’ve damage my brain by looking at over 1000 car listings this month
No matter how good the listing is dont buy these cars!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrldWbAPiwM&list=PLxq0IX6K4HcXYDeZOLBclZRpwNzg75QKa&index=3
tldr:
I’m so tired of bad car listings, so here’s a PSA. If you’re selling your car for $10,000, at least take new photos instead of using blurry, old Snapchat pics.
After browsing a ton of listings, I’ve realized most people don’t know how to market their cars. So, let’s cover some major sins before I show you how to create the perfect listing.
Bad Practices to Avoid:
Awful Photos: Stop taking pictures from your apartment balcony or with your car stuck in a bush.
No Details: Writing “Ford Cabriolet” isn’t enough. Include the full model, engine specs, and features.
Lazy Pricing: Don’t post “123456” or random numbers—use a real price! Add 10% for wiggle room.
Bad Formatting: Check your spelling. If you can’t proofread, how can I trust you’ve maintained the car?
How to Create a Great Listing:
Clean the Car: Wash it, clean the interior, and fix small messes.
Take Proper Photos: Use an empty parking lot. Use photos from the front-side, rear-side, and the interior from the backseat. Add extra shots if possible—damage, trunk, etc. No Instagram filters!
Be Honest: Include mileage, recent service history, and any issues upfront.
A good listing saves time, builds trust, and gets more interest. I’ll show you an example of how to turn a bad ad into a great one. Bonus tip: You could probably flip cars for profit just by cleaning them and writing better listings.
