Had anyone encountered a “hot gearbox” warning on the dash? My 2005 9-3 arc did that to me, changed the trans fluid and it seems like it’s good now! Now the thing I noticed is that the cooling fans are not turning on…. Is this all related or is there a bigger problem hiding in plain sight?
the rebuild didn't help me at all, leak continued. only thing that fixed it was replacing the full vacuum pump
hola. soy nuevo suscriptor y me gustaria pedirte apoyo desde México, tengo saab 9-3 2.0t mi vehiculo pierde potencia y el pedal de freno pareciera que pierde vacio ya que se va casi al fondo, esto no lo hace simepre, casi siempre lo hace despues de 1 hora de manejo o algo asi, cambien bomba de freno, modulo abs probe con otro, cambie bujias, cambie mangueras de vacio, manguera de intercooler, manguera de cuerpo de aceleracion y no arroja codigos de falla con el torque. prende de una sin temas, jala en general bien, solo ese detalle

When you replace seals in vacuum pump Always check the filter. The filter size very small if the filter is clogged, the oil flows through the seal!
Was there oil on the bottom of your transmission bellhousing because thats where i see droplets and the pump is above that

Did my vacuum pump seal yesterday, what an easy job. I torqued the mounting bolts to 18 ft lbs. In my opinion, over or undertorqueing gasket seals leads to premature leaks. So I am precise whenever I torque a gasket seal (eg oil pan gasket, waterpump, valve cover).
Can you stop saying that SAI is ONLY on 2003 and 11? They are not only on 2003 and 11 man im starting to not trust your info more and more

I'm about to do mine this weekend I'm gonna do the metal thermostat housing while it's out seems like it will be alot easier to do while the pump is out.
Timing of this video is awesome – I was just watching your old video Saturday as I was replacing the seals on my air pump. video was helpful…but wish I saw this video first. Hope my bottom bolt doesn't leak! I found removing the return lines to the coolant tank freed up space over the pump.
Didnt fix mine suspect rear main seal…
