For people from EUROPE: there is a company in Poland that fixes the ECU but only with specific DTC from ECU and they give You a 3 month warranty. They also sell working ECUs.
Also there is a same company in UK and Italy that are fixing ECUs, the price is higher but the warranty is better and longer. If You need some info ask in this comment.

I have that problem right now with my car going to look into the part now hope this works cause it's the issue I found out to be the problem lag mode

My car, an 06 Saab 9-3 suffered from ECM failure. So I found a good used one, and to prevent future failures, I taked the ECM out off the engine heat. I extented the ecm harness up to the the side of the air filter box, also I purchase an open air filter with a heat barrier, so the new ecm home is about 20 celsius degrees lower then the engine area. To do this job, I purchased anothers saab ECM harness, and cut and extend one by one cable to avoid messing them. No more fails at all. Cheers!
