Porsche 911 (996) Restoration – Caliper Refurbishment & Huge Parts Delivery – Part 65

Porsche 911 (996) Restoration – Caliper Refurbishment & Huge Parts Delivery – Part 65

Dear All,

In this video I complete the paintwork on the calipers, after having messed them up a few weeks back! Now, after putting the time in, they look great, and I am so glad I went the extra mile.

At the same time, many of the parts I have ordered start to come in and it’s like Christmas (for the 911).

Thanks for all the support and I look forward to the comments.

J.

I guess I’m lucky because when I recently had all the calipers off, doing a fairly comprehensive brake replacement job, I had contemplated repainting them. However, they looked really good (particularly when cleaned up… pad dampers were in great shape too) so I left well alone. When you left the calipers hanging for an extended cure, they’re still awaiting clearcoat, correct? So satisfying having new parts installed and ready to go. Nice progress.

Hi Joel! Nice Video mate! Painting Brembo calipers is much harder than it appears! It’s very difficult to get perfect! We have had to redo more than I’d like to admit because of simple blemishes. Keep up the good work! CaliperHQ
