This video shows you how to install a new coolant reservoir from TRQ on your 1988-1999 GMC K1500. Your vehicle is equipped with a tank containing extra coolant, and space for the coolant to overflow to when the system gets hot. A cracked or broken tank could slowly drain your vehicle of much needed fluid. A dirty tank could send debris into the system, clogging it.
This repair was done on a 1995 GMC K1500 Sierra SL 5.7L Extended Cab Pickup 2-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
