I started driving in the 1990's and could get a vehicle battery with 10-year warranty for about $100 in today's money and it would last for 10+ years. Today I would pay nearly $200 for that same battery and it would have a 24-month prorated warranty on it and I am luck if it makes it 3 years. Now I see why.
