In this video I swap out the front wheel bearing on a customer’s 2014 Nissan Murano. The vehicle had already been to another shop where they replaced both front wheel speed sensors trying to fix a false traction control activation and intermittent ABS warning lights. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the problem.
A quick inspection revealed the classic rust-jacked magnetic tone ring inside the wheel bearing causing an erratic wheel speed signal. We install a new bearing assembly, clear the faults, and verify the repair. Easy peasy!

I can understand if someone can't afford a repair at the moment.
But, just saying that "l will do it at a later date" when it comes to brakes.
What is wrong with people?
Missed your videos. It's been a while since I've been able to watch and concentrate on this. You teach me so much. Thank you Eric O.
Haha! The cotter key stuff is amazing! Keep up the great work!
Erik is top dog mechanic of all social media sites. You can learn a lot from this man if you're man enough.
sounds like the lawnmower guy is in full swing lol
Eric, was watching an old video of you putting power stops on Mrs O's van, how did you like them in the long run?
Thanks
I can never understand why someone would wait and pay labor costs again just for the brake job, when the wheel is broken down already.
I've had that happen with the you know hoog
I can't believe the oil change due notice was on the screen and you didn't change the oil. I'm going to unsubscribe.
I can't believe you bent that cotter pin that way instead of doing it the other way. I'm going to unsubscribe.
Did you torque the thingamabob? I always checkout proper poisoning of the thingamajig. First remove the gas cap and check that its still flammable.
All in response to those who wonder why you didnt rebuild the complete car.
i've changed more integrated hubs because of failed tone rings or sensors seized in them than I want to count. out of maybe a half dozen times i've only ONCE been able to successfully and safely extract a wheel speed sensor on the front of my jeep, without damaging the tone ring. I much prefer vehicles that have the tone ring on the axle vs in the hub; they're usually far more resilient. 'course I am in the rust belt, and I plow with my jeep, which of course eats parts.
Wonder if Eric buys Fluid Film by the truck load.
They might want to prioritize the oil pan, it looks a little rusty!lol! Thanks for the video, wonder what the 'replace the brain box' guy is thinking now?
Eric, you forgot to honk before backing out of the stall!!! OMG, the end of the Earth is near, OMG, OMG, hahaha. Great video again. Watching from Texas.
The cotter pin installed "wrong" will cost some points at the car show.
just goes to show even after all these years fixing stupid cars you can learn something new….. magnetic viewing strip. i had no idea about this type of thing.
The thought that you could buy a new bearing assembly, and go through all the work to get the old one out and the new one in, and then for it to be bad? What a cluster F…..
Yellow bag bearing-Timkin
So many vehicles come to your shop "after" being at another shop for you to fix what they can't. My question is…how many people then stick with you or do they go back to the other guy because "he's cheaper"? Until he's not. My guess is most of the public never learns. You get what you pay for.
4:30 what in the wide, wide world of sports is that next to the exhaust pipe? Looks like burnt meatloaf.
Oil pan looked bad too. Concerning for sure
