Mercedes w210 key does not turn and steering lock does not open. Was ESL fault.

Problem was broken ESL. I had it fixed by specialist and after that car was starting Ok.

There is some silent click on position 0:03, but steering lock does not open.
Tried:
Battery is 12.59 volts
Tried remove battery for several minutes
Did go through all fuses, they were visually Ok.
Also measured fuse 9 that there was voltage.
Tried insert key to lock and press key at same time (somewhere was instruction that it may help).
Tried to clean IR lense of EIS from both sides.
Checked EGS that there were no oil inside. Changed EGS condensator.

Just happened to my c320 merc today… I changed battery…. Checked fuses and cleaned out the key fob…… It turned out the key fob had completely gone. The car didn't recognise it and the only solution is to get a locksmith to get you a new key which then needs programmed to the car…… Depending on who you get you could be talking around 200pound if not more if you go to the dealership.

@JohnMuri-zo2pw says:

that is not original key from this car
that key is from benz around 2010-2015

It is the car battery

@nonshatter7 says:

I had a similar problem with one fob. I replaced the batteries but it still didn't turn , though the central locking now did. I used the spare fob and that DID turn the ignition. What was the problem with the first fob (which still wont turn in the ignition)?

Can anybody help me my car key is stuck in mine it wont come out i dont want to yank it what shljld i do car tells me remove key fob but it wont let me

@AugustineChidera says:

What could be the case

@tangomike15 says:

Another possible quick solution…open the key, remove all the inner bits, shake it/tap it to remove pocket fluff, put it back together again. Sometimes fluff blocks the infrared reader from communicating with the ignition.
