they go bad becaue the pcv’s on the back of the motor go bad and allow oil to get into the intake and gum up the flaps and that breaks these intakes really badly, so if you dont want this to happen and have to replace the manifold replace your pcv everytime they leak and you can check when they leak cause they will literally leak down the back of the motor
