I would be concerned about the choice of glue for the crashbox to frame connection – were you not able to find what the factory / a dealer would be using for this joint?
This is epic. I've loved all of your videos, you take great time in explaining. It's why I always wanted you to do a coolant tutorial because there are no good ones out there and I know you'd do it right. I'm sad that you sold it.
That was a truly fantastic repair Steve, very thorough. I have an Opel Speedster that needs similar work, but much less damage and I'm intimidated. Would you consider working together?
The restoration started a few years ago, if I remember correctly. I’ve been eagerly waiting to see the final product since then, and it turned out great!
Thanks for the video Steve. I remember this restoration from when you originally bought the car. Fiberglass shells are light, which allows more efficiency but repairs seem to me to be much more complicated than on a metal skin. Your final product looked great. Your comment regarding the sale of the car gave the impression you have some regret. Perhaps you will find another that will require your skills in the future and we will benefit from watching that restoration as well.
Wish I had one,I fancy the 111s
Wow great job. I got a question, I have a damaged chassis S2 else, the right front was damaged, can the aluminium chassis be fixed?
can you list the products you use for gluing aluminum to the clamshell
