I think you probably make the drain hole just a tiny bit bigger and maybe like a mesh over it. I think that may help

My gf must be a lotus bc I also have to bend my hand in difficult ways. Luckily, she came nut-less from the factory
Take a look into holley retro bright headlights. Give you LED light and performance with a clean cutoff and they come in a classic white so you retain the halogen hue and imo a cleaner look.
Drain still not functional it has some rubber valve which is unneeded.
