This video shows you how to install a new intermediate steering shaft from TRQ on your 1988-1999 GMC K1500 (5.7L V8). Depending on the type of vehicle, the shaft connecting your steering wheel to the steering mechanism may be exposed, and prone to wear or corrosion. If there is play in the steering, or a chance of breakage, it’s best to replace it!
This repair was done on a 1995 GMC K1500 Sierra SL 5.7L Extended Cab Pickup 2-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
