What about rust from water damsge? I bought a new master power switch through the door comma did I have a different doorIt doesn't open from the inside and doesn't want to roll up or down. Uftá
I had the same problem and suspected a bad connection somewhere. So I took my soldering iron and touched it to all the connection points to melt them slightly. Worked like a charm.
Totally have done this before. Also replaced the motor in Honda door locks for 10 bucks because the motor is literally a cheap toy motor. Like the ones you find in cheap RC cars.
I had this problem in my daughters car but I had a spare master door switch that I swapped out the faulty part. Thanks for teaching me to try cleaning before going and replacing the switch. Excellent technique whether as a mechanic to help a customer save money or as a DIY getting it done. Thanks again for your YouTube video.
$217!? Lol yea right dude shit's like 25 bucks tops off Amazon and even cheaper on ebay

What if the window doesnt go up or down ?? How should i appprach ?
A new switch is $217.00… Manual wind-up windows FTW!
That’s the difference between a mechanic and a parts changer
Gotta fix that window also. Way too much movement. I'd be afraid it'll end up binding, coming off the track or burning up the motor.
They make a specific cleaner called QD Electronic that would be better for that repair.
90% of car electrical issues are due to corrosion on the terminals or wiring looks becoming loose and needing plugged back in
And probably exactly what they would do and charge you the $200

As a poor boy with old cars, i do these types of repairs a lot.
I used to have to fix stuff like this all the time in the air conditioning business, because there were no replacement parts on a lot of models

Show people how to put their window back on track please. Dealers and garages still charge well over 100 bucks to replace it.
Same for remote controls.
This is only a valid repair if you're working for free.
