I got a 460 Ford for free, and I needed something to put it in. A year later, I got this 1978 Lincoln Continental for free, but it has a rod knock. Coincidence? I think not. Will $155 put this Lincoln back on the road?

They make some white textured rubberized stuff that you roll on or brush on top of the house to seal the roof and I’m thinking that would go really good in place of that vinyl and you can get it at Lowe’s or Home Depot

@gutz1981 says:

I have to say it, in 1978, Australia was building better V8 cars.

All right sir if I may make a suggestion if you look at the top on that thing the fiberglass was riveted over to put the fake convertible top on it remove the convertible top remove the fabric glass and you can always rhino line the top but now you'll have the landau windows also on my My Town car I had to readjust the kickdown linkage for whatever reason after sitting for a while you didn't act like it normally did

I had a 71 vista cruiser. Don’t get me wrong, it was ugly, inside and out. Looked fresh from the bar ditch. But the engine was happy. I started a break job in the morning and left the wheel off when I got to work, came home to a big orange sticker on my window. A neighbor apparently filed a junk car complaint. Just to be spiteful, I spent the next day using the car to clear junk from my garage to make room for it, and took my sweet time scooting around to rub it on a little bit.

@AdamDrew-fl1dr says:

Don’t the lifters, pushrods and rockers all have to stay together as a matched set when they’re used.? That’s what I’ve always been told.

I had a 1975 Oldsmobiile 98 that had a rotting landau vinyl roof. Just saying, remove that crap because it will promote rust underneath. Also, after removal and body repair we covered the area in black krinkle paint. No one ever noticed the difference.
