Lexus Won't Recall My Sticky Dash, So I Installed Suede Myself!

In today’s episode, I will install suede material for my sticky door panels and on my steering wheel for my Lexus IS350 for the first time and in this video I learned that it is not very difficult to do this.

Join me and let me know how it turned out.

@ninavelasquez1562 says:

I replaced the dash and door panels from another car in a junkyard. My car looks good as new. This is a great alternative. Good job!

@dhruvaldeepakmaharaj371 says:

How’s the wrap holding up a year later?

@animallover7775 says:

I wish you can help me install the suede on my cracked dash! This car I bought used had the previous owner literally taking their Lexus rx330 in to the dealership every 3,000 miles for service. It was an elderly couple. Shame on dealership for not telling them about the dash recall!!

@lonzeo says:

I asked the Lexus dealer how much it would cost to replace it all and they said at least 2.5-3k

@Simetric2301 says:

How does it look in the long term?, is still looking nice?

@LibtardsTears says:

How is it holding up? Especially intersted if you have it on a dashboard and how it reacts to the sun, and the stickiness

@S3B-D says:

I like this, nice work. I need my doors done. The dashboard itself has already been replaced so I got lucky there. The doors are next…

@TOXICWEBBI says:

Where can I buy this material

@lakelly1477 says:

In reply to Elsheepodoggo: Lexus replaced my dash and door panels about 6 years ago and you were told correctly, they are no Longer making repairs.

@haider1413 says:

How is this warp doing after 7 months? Is it durable?

@lakelly1477 says:

The same thing happened with my 2006 Lexus IS250. Sticky Dashboard and door panels. Lexus replaced all at absolutely no charge!

@SnowShiesty says:

How exactly are you doing the separate pieces on the doors but making them look like it's one? I tried to pay attention but the time lapse made it hard to tell

@bomber16693 says:

must have used the same plastic that they used in the Mk6 gold door handles.

@rossn5186 says:

Sticky dash issue is still happening with "new" Vehicles.
I had a new provided work vehicle, it was a 2021 Ford EcoSport , in less than 2 years the dash was sticky.

@glennmunn970 says:

Just wondering how this is holding up? Has it started to come unstuck anywhere yet. You did a great job but I worry about how long it will last especially in the heat. Also wondering would this have any effect on the airbag in an accident?

@parkferg97 says:

What size should I get if I'm trying to do all 4 door panels?

@thenightprowler3426 says:

how much wrap should you buy for 4 doors as well as the dash

@Ilomediaa says:

Hey bro great video! Question: How many do I need to cover the 4 door panel Lexus is250?

@pjsingh1548 says:

Can i still put it on if there are some deep ripe and i can see the yellow foam too in patches or should i put some epoxy putty to make it even? Also how much length do i need to order to cover dashboard and all the 4 door trims.
Appreciate the videoo
