Engine mount/tie-rod replacement & stiffening (Part 2 of 2) – Land Rover Freelander 2

Two part video series showing renewal of the engine mounting stabiliser bars, also known as tie-bars/tie-rods/torque-rods/dog-bones.

In this video, I try the stiffer black “race only” inserts.

According to the information from the powerflex Website (UK and germany) those inserts are for petrol only?

Excellent videos. Where did you get the upper and lower original supports from can i ask?

@VSTV1993 says:

Did the new mounts and inserts give smoother gear changes also or was it more engine firmness?

@praetorian65 says:

Just a note on the tank as I found it difficult to get mine out of the way when replacing the support. I disconnected the wire going to the sensor underneath, and that allowed me to move the tank enough to get out out of the way without disconnecting anything else.
