In this video I explain the differences between single and dual filament bulbs and demonstrate where to find and how to change the daytime running light in a Kia Forte.
Manual calls for a dual filament bulb, however also says “*if equipped”.
Check your bad bulb first.
If you have the single filament like I did in the video, you will want the 7506.
If yours is equipped with the dual filament setup you will want the 7528.

This was an extremely detailed how-to! I really appreciate it! I'm going to attempt it myself. You made me believe I think I can do it!!!
What year is your Kia Forte? I have a 2020 lxs and was wondering if I could do LEDs instead, do you think they would fit or just give me the wrong info when I try to fit the part at AutoZone or Amazon? Everywhere says 7528, I'm wondering if you know which led model number I should search for
Just bought the 7528 for my 2021 So now I’m going back to exchange it. THANKS for the info, it would’ve sucked to find out after having it apart.
Swapped the balb but still not illuminating and the check engine light is still showing it’s not working. Smh
Thumbs way up!
VERY helpful, thank you!
I just took my front liner off and got to it easier
What is the correct buld for 2020 kia forte DRL? 7506 or 7528?
Thank you bro!!!
Thanks finally got around to it
48k miles and went out
Did you use the bulb 7506 i have the same issue with the bulb auto zone gave me not working
Thanks mate same problem helped me a lot cheers
You just saved me $80. Thanks! I managed to fit my arm in without taking the whole cover off though the toughest part was putting the light bulb back in there. Also, they did ended up giving me the wrong bulb, so I had to exchange it lol.
My daytime running light on my car was out for about 7 or 8 months because all the videos/tutorials I saw prior said I would need to go under the car. I don’t have the tools to lift my car safely and I didn’t want to take it to a repair shop if I could do it myself. Finally came across this video and was able to do it myself. So happy to longer have the warning on my dashboard!!
Thanks. Shops over here are refusing to replace. One shop would do it but charge 1.5 hr labor work which is $120
So I am gonna do it myself.Manual mentions P21 5w so bought 7528 , have to return it now.
What year is your Forte?
Does anyone know what part is the black item holding the bulb and the connector? I think that's my issue, not the bulb itself.
I was fortunate enough to be able to reach through w/o taking the entire wheel well apart and just cutting the tire as far as I could to the right. Great video. Extremely helpful! Thanks!
Excellent video! Well done on the video presentation and on the commentary. What year model is the car. Do ypu knownif the 2024 Picanto has the same bulb type and setup?
Do you know where the fuse is? I guess mine burned out
You are the man for this video, thank you!
