Howdy folks! Thanks so much for watching … all the links you need to do some research on the kits I reference are in the description but I also want to make sure you remember the AutoEdits Amazon store … where you can get the Bones gloves like I use in the video and any purchases you make from starting at the storefront help support the channel! So thanks! https://www.amazon.com/shop/autoedits
So I went back to your video after I just placed my order for the hydro assist kit on my JK. Your video is very in depth, but I feel way out of my comfort zone on this one. Going to let a local guy install this for me. I am super excited to get this kit installed though. Was there an adjustment period with the overall feel and road-drivability after you installed it? Did your rig dance around at all if you hit a bump, like with bump steer with a factory setup? That is really my main concern with this kit.
Hi AutoEdits, how is it at 75mph? I read it can be darty & scary. Is yours?
Bro was so excited he immediately put the tshirt on LOL
This replaces the factory steering damper, so how does it do on keeping the wobble at bay?
I have a similar setup but when turn passenger is makes the tie rod flop up aggressively, when I turn driver past the middle point if make the tie rod go down.
Good tip for everyone. Definitely don’t turn your steering wheel while your steering shaft is disconnected or else you will break your clock spring and they are expensive and annoying to change
Great video I have a jk 2009 that’s on 35s and the power steering whines when I turn, going to look into this. Also what size are your amber pods on the bumper and where did you get those aftermarket signal lights in the grille? They look awesome!
I have a death wobble would this help with that?
Can I hire you to install mine ???
I've got this Hydro assist on my 2016 JK. Is your steering a little too sensitive at higher speeds? My steering at 80 MPH..I've got to be paying attention all the time. I'm not sure if it's my hydro assist or my alignment. Thoughts?
I started building my one tone F350 to get a bit silly off road, I have had a few instances were the steering wheel nearly took my wrist off! I'd love this setup but I couldn't justify the price, I just plan on adjusting my terrain.
how long did the install take?
I have a first generation Blazer on a 6” inch left. Those first generation Blazers, their steering is super smooth. I am looking for a kit to correct that. I need my steering to be more stiff. Will this steering kit correct my issue?
Can someone answer this question for me? I have a 2017 2 door JK with only 10,000 miles and its completely stock and drives the way it should! In wranglers i have noticed that the steering wheels ability to return to center during a sharp turn isnt as good as a regular car and that is fine with me. But since I have to turn the wheel back to center physically I was wanting to make the task alot more easier. Will a PSC steering help with this?
Got one of these bad boys waiting to get welded onto my WJ. Glad to have watched this. Nice rig!!!!
Hey there Mr Jason we got a 14 jku I just ordered the big bore gearbox. We have the metal cloak track bar like you do. Have you got any clearance issues between the bottom of the sector shaft and track bar?
I was wondering how it performs on hard rock crawling, when you want stiff tires to prevent rapid wheel turning, and sore arms.
Also, I always blow out all new hydraulic lines with air prior to install.
On my street sweepers I wrap all critical hydraulic hoses that are exposed to the elements with canvas or some other line protection.
Boss, installed kryptonite pitman, idler, gearbox (PSC), and steering shafts in by 02’ suburban. I have some play in the steering wheel. I adjust the gearbox 1/4 a turn. It returns to center just fine but I still have the play in the steering. Any suggestions? More adjustments?
What front shock is it mate? Looks awesome
Jason, I recently installed the adventure kit, and was wondering did you have to modify your cold air intake at all to clear the reservoir.
Great video probably fixing to order mine. What was the install time? Approx
Great video, thanks!
Jeepin Jay! I have the Same PSC kit on my Jeep… Recently, at low speed/idle, the steering cutting out, creating a dangerous lack of steering! I checked the fluid level in threaded reservoir, it was low, below the internal valve: filled the cylinder with proper fluid, no change in steering, just a large puking of fluid out the overflow valve. Lol. Any insight? I am going to persue bleeding the system since it could have gotten air in the reservoir when low…
