I just had the same lift installed on my JK and my front is about 2in higher than the rear. RC cannot figure out the reason why

@oceanpacific886 says:

Thanks for the explanation- great video

@brandonzambrano6038 says:

What about a 3" will I need brake extenders and sway bar links?

@Arcturian1111 says:

Thanks, I'm gonna attempt it with confidence from your video. I subbed you too.

If you did not have the Rough Country springs and shocks but only the springs, how would you know what set of shocks you could use. In other words how do you know the set of shocks and springs you use would make for a good/compatible match?? Great presentation and although I'm asking in May of 2025, I would very much appreciate a reply if anyone is still available. Thank you.

I just put this lift on mine and I have a crazy bad driveline vibe under load. I haven't checked my u joints but I noticed my pinion angle is way off now, probably accentuated by my front bumper and winch making it .5" lower in front. I'm thinking some 1" lifted motor mounts would be the best option and new rear u joints just because, I'm curious if you've had the same issue

@nathanbritton1019 says:

Great video right there. Very helpful!

@khughes9013 says:

how old is this, its rotten

@jessicalaw08 says:

I had a shop install a 2.5” RC kit but the one with new control arms. My old lift was a 3-4” skyjacker. The previous owner had bump stop extensions installed in the front and rear. The shop left those on when installing the new 2.5” kit. Is that okay to do so? They didn’t mention anything about the bump stops. I don’t offroad it anymore so just wanted to make sure it’s good to last me a long time. All I can tell is the jouncer in the rear are dry rotted and need replaced but may not be needed?

@offroad1911 says:

Must be a northern jeep, she's rusty and crusty.

@scottmartin5675 says:

Installed this same kit and no it wobbles like crazy. Even the rear view mirror fell off any ideas? Thanks.

@braytonwillerval3942 says:

Did the customer end of needing to do a SYE kit with a 2.5” lift? I’m looking into doing a 2.5” in hopes I can save money and not have to do a SYE kit

@juanpowet5543 says:

Thanks for the video

@muchoCakes1 says:

Would 35's be an ok tire for a 2.5" lift kit?

@dg98adams says:

I know this was old, but did you skip the jounce bumpers for time or not needed anymore?

@beargibson3100 says:

The factory bottle jack with a drill adapter works pretty good too.

@ericbauer4897 says:

What about the track bar? Did you install an adjustable one, or use a relocation bracket? I have a Teraflex 2" lift and it comes with a relocation bracket.

Ok, just heard your comment about the trackbar. So, doing a 2" lift I don't need to mess with it? Rear shock bolts all broke, cut them out from above lifting the fram off the body, all that's left is the srpings, been holding off due to the trackbar question. I don't really want to mess with it if I don't have to.

Nice video, and frame painting. The jack on the axel is a damn good idea!!!

@JeffDougherty says:

Why wouldn't you just use a spring compression tool?

@woof3598 says:

just added this to my JK, I found replacing the front control arms to adjust caster made it a lot nicer, less wondering, I added a adjustable front track bar to center the front axle, and I noticed she was more like 3.75 taller than 2.5, so I replaced the front drive shaft to cut down on floor vibration

@brandonwise2636 says:

Very informative video, and the bottle jack hack is AWESOME . Thank you so much for your knowledge.

For any bolt on this car i highly recommend a torch, penetrating fluid, wire wheel, copper anti-zeise, and your personal favorite vices for taking breaks. Love your channel! building my tj has made me wanna start a channel(still havent) but im doing EVERYTHING to my project and your knowledge has definitely helped me!

@OGchrontron says:

the kit comes w more parts then that lol

@theflightoficarus says:

how can I tell if I have any lift on my jeep? I bought it and it has 33"s on it

@longbow75 says:

Great video. On the front you didn't mention if you loosened the control arm bolts like you did in the rear. It looks like you did, just double checking. Thanks again.

@BB_46 says:

How does it ride compared to the factory springs?

@roberts2099 says:

Did you pull that shock bolt and put some never seize on it or leave it for the next sucker.
