Im going with your theory about cylinder #4 getting the antifreeze from the cracked head through the oil pump first. Wouldn't that explain why the other lifters shown on the full video looked good?
You need oil with the proper ingredients like zddp. I use royal purple HPS it has the proper amount of stuff for flat tappet engines. Valvoline vr1 is good in synthetic and non synthetic. Amsoil has some offerings I think it's their z rod oil or something. Then there's diesel oils they have a higher concentration of zddp same with 10w40 oils they are allowed a little more than lighter weight oils. They took out the additives these engines require because it can be damaging to catalytic converters and modern engines don't have the same needs as older engines. So yes the store bought royal purple and Mobil 1 and all those oils don't offer great protection for these engines. You'll find a lot of "racing" oils or non certified oils will meet the requirements you need because they can't get the up to date certification because today's standards are restrictive and the additives they use to replace things like zddp or the limited amount of zddp isn't enough. On the other hand you don't want to use a zddp additive like you can buy in the little bottles because too much can also be a bad thing it's best to stick with the proper oil. For non synthetic I like the Valvoline vr1 it comes in synthetic and non synthetic. Then the diesel oils are popular because they are cheap and diesel oils are allowed to have more of the proper additive. Also like I mentioned 10w40 oils and thicker are allowed to have higher levels but don't always have it so a person needs to do a little research
