This video shows the assembly of a 2014-2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport V6 Supercharged 3.0L AJ126 engine (V8 AJ133 similar). I bought this vehicle with failed timing chains. I rebuilt the top end but soon after an oiling problem led to the connecting rods seizing on the crankshaft.

So the same weight as a V8 but 2/3 of the power. Who buys that?
Hi Nick!
Thank you for the video. I'm in the process of rebuilding of AJ126 now. I'd be very helpful if you can answer some of my questions.
Do you reuse or find acceptable to reuse main cap bolts? Where do you source them if not?
What is your opinion on Euro AMP crankshafts? cast or forged? There is also this Chinese supplier Raceorly that claims to have great quality. Raceorly has sold lots on ebay with good reviews.
You make working on this cars so much easier. Thank you again!
do u use new cylinder head bolts?
Hey do you have a more detailed video on the head rebuilds? More specifically the valves. I noticed in this video u discussed just 600 grit the surface. In previous videos u would send the heads to machine shops?
Great video! What is the part number for the crank shaft dowel you mentioned at 26:28? I didn’t see in the vid where you circled back to the issue
Thanks for the video!
Regarding the head bolts sequence. What if I feel that some bolts are tightened less than the other after 3 stages? I measured with the torque wrench, and some are 65 foot pounds, other are more than 75 foot pounds. Should I ignore 3 stages and reach at least 75 to those bolts? I mean I really feel I can go further with those, as it was so easy to tighten them. Not sure why the difference occured in the first place though.
