Welcome back to the channel everyone! In this video, I find and replace a broken radiator hose on a 2012 Hyundai Elantra (Limited trim), and then refill the coolant system. During the refill process, I also burp or bleed out the air, which is essential. I used Hyundai coolant mixed with distilled water (a 1 to 1 or 50:50 ratio). I didn’t explain how I mix it during the video, but I just take a 5 gallon bucket and pour in the 1 gallon of coolant and 1 gallon of distilled water, and to mix I pour that solution into another bucket and go back and forth. That, I feel at least for my needs, sufficiently mixes the solution. DO NOTE: There may be other ratios that can be used and may be preferred for your particular climate. I would advise referencing your owner’s manual to determine whether or not your driving climate warrants that / would benefit from a different mix ratio. From what I can find online, it appears that the 50:50 ratio is safe down to -35 degrees, which is plenty extreme enough for the climate I live in and is easy and convenient to mix safely and consistently.
Part number for the hose I replaced: 254113X650
