Is the problem with the headgasket design itself or the slots between the cylinders on the top of the engine block? Is every CRV and Accord owner going to experience this issue?
Dealerships won’t use ARP head studs when they perform this service. Then go to an independent Honda shop. Use the Honda OE head gasket. To the remainder of vehicle owners with this engine, flush your cooling system completely at 30-35,000 miles and use the respective coolant. Change your engine thermostat and radiator cap. Do this every 30-35,000 intervals. Use Top Tier fuel and change your engine oil between 3-4,000 miles with full synthetic engine oil. That what we do with ALL turbocharged engines. They just require maintenance more frequently.
