My gauge cluster on my 89 Chevy c1500 is sometimes quits working all other gauges stay fine I give it a light tap on the cluster and it comes back on any tips for rebuilding it ?
I had a problem where one of those little bastards just broke off. I was traumatized until my wife looked at it and said “I bet that copper tape your Mom uses for doing the soldering in her stained glass hobby would work.” 1 inch of copper tape borrowed from my mothers hobby/ craft room and problem solved.
You shouldn't fold them up so far, just a small move is enough to get the glue in there. Bending them so far is just fatiguing the metal at lot more that needed.

Do yourself a favor. Buy a new one and be done with the headache.
Very nice work!
